Stone Construction Equipment Inc. has announced that it has added its Snap-Tek technology on selected models in the WolfPac Asphalt Roller line. The Snap-Tek system can be found on models WP3100, WP4100 and WP6100. The system includes an electronic control box and is designed to provide quick change-out of the components. The control box is encapsulated, eliminating the tangle of wires and relay switches. The box can be unplugged, switched-out and the leads re-plugged in, within minutes, according to the manufacturer. The Stone-exclusive Snap-Tek feature also includes electronic diagnostic capabilities that monitor power functions. LEDs indicate whether or not the roller has power; and whether or not the vibration switch, preheat light ignition and brakes are receiving current. The Snap-Tek system was first used on Stone Bulldog Trench Rollers and introduced in 2001.
