Refuse Parts LLC has introduced its new LowLift hoist, which it says is designed for lower loading, a smaller footprint and faster loading and unloading times than other roll-off hoists on the market. The LowLift has a hinged tail that serves as a loading platform, allowing easier and closer alignment with the container and a reduced loading height. It also offers 30-second loading and unloading cycle times, which it says are about half the time it takes traditional roll-off hoists. A single cable sheave is attached to the carriage, which travels the entire length of the hoist, powered by a 7-inch telescopic cylinder. Every foot of carriage travel develops two feet of cable movement, extending or retracting, causing rapid container movement, according to the manufacturer.
