It is powered by a rugged Tier 2-compliant SAA6D102E-2 Komatsu engine and features an output of 120 hp, operating weights ranging from 21,870 to 22,872 pounds and bucket capacities from 2.2 to 3.1 cubic yards. Its fuel consumption has been decreased by more than 15 percent. An Advanced Technology Hydrostatic Transmission allocates only as much power as needed for a given application, ensuring accurate and powerful operations, while a traction control system reduces tire slippage in wet or soft conditions.
The ergonomically designed operator’s cab is 5 percent larger than in previous models. An expanded Equipment Management Monitoring System tracks 28 machine functions.
