Fibrebak System

Sellers Engineers, an England-based flooring equipment company with a U.S. location in Dalton, Ga., has introduced its new Fibrebak carpet recycling system at the FloorTek 2009 trade show, sponsored by the American Floorcovering Alliance. According to a company news release, the Fiberbak pile removal system can separate and deliver reclaimed fiber and backing separately, widening the scope for the recycling of waste materials. The company adds that the system has both economic and environmental benefits. Economically, pile and backing separation can be achieved on both carpet and tile products, allowing companies to recycle their waste and minimize their landfill costs. Environmentally, the system benefits carpet manufacturers and waste recycling companies because it allows them to reduce both landfill waste and the impact that waste has on the environment. According to the company, features of the Fibreback removal system include an adjustable head for maximum fiber removal, operator panels housing all machine controls and a conveyor to suit the manual feed.
