Designed for high volume pre-screening and specialty composting operations, the largest portable trommel in the line of screening equipment from McCloskey International has been re-engineered to use the company’s patented Drum X-Change System. By replacing the Drum X-Change System’s wheel drive, the new 4X4 733 Trommel eliminates costly service requirements while achieving improvements in productivity and flexibility. The Drum X-Change System uses a wheel-drive in place of traditional chain drives, allowing for very quick changes of the screening drum. Instead of taking the trommel out of service for days at a time to change drums, the Drum X-Change System allows operators to lift out one drum and drop in another. The re-engineered 733 Trommel is powered by a 205-hp Caterpillar C6.6 ACERT diesel engine.
