ArcelorMittal is offering a new steel plate in its Astralloy 4800 for use in standard OEM material. According to the company, the Astralloy 4800 provides better wear and workload management when compared with traditional steel plates. The company says the new product is well-suited for any metal-to-metal application and will provide significant savings on maintenance time and repair costs.
According to ArcelorMittal, applications for Astralloy 4800 include blades, bucket liners, crusher stiffeners and shields, screens, dumper bodies, trommels and extraction equipment. Astralloy 4800 also is ideal for conveyor bottom plates, hoppers, helical gravity and screw conveyors, wheeled loader and excavator buckets, chutes, ventilators and containers, the company says.
