Komptech USA has announced that it will be highlighting its Terminator 6000 S low-speed shredder with a fine drum at the upcoming WasteExpo show in Dallas.
In addition to the Terminator 6000, which has a reported throughput of up to 100 tons per hour, Komptech will display a working Ballistor ballistic separator and star-screen model.
With the fine drum, the Terminator 600 is configured to produce particles of the right size for separation in a single-stream recycling system, the company says. According to the Komptech, its low drum speed can handle extreme contamination, minimize stoppages and extend tooth life while reducing fuel consumption. The continuous cutting gap adjustment is designed to allow for precise setting of the particle size for subsequent process steps.
The hydraulic drive with load-dependent speed control is designed to ensure maximum use of the engine output. The hook-lift platform, three-axle chassis and steel tracks with hydraulic drive options provide mobility.
“Keeping waste out of landfills and turning it into a revenue-bringer is a big priority. By reducing fuel use and operating costs, our machines help operators and municipalities see a greater profit,” says Johannes Pohl, Komptech USA president.
