Sennebogen North America, Charlotte, N.C., has introduced the 835 and 840 D Series material handlers. The new 835 and 840 D Series offer the same safety and comfort features as the 825 and 830 D Series machines and come equipped with Cummins Tier III engines, the company says. Weighing 100,000 pounds, the 835 D Series features a 264-horsepower Cummins diesel engine and a 25-kilowatt magnet system. The 840 D Series has an operating rate of 123,000 pounds and also features a 264-horsepower Cummins diesel engine and a 25-kilowatt magnet system. Both material handlers have a number of safety features, including a revolutionary sliding door combined with the adjacent catwalk, improved access to maintenance areas, such as a centralized undercarriage greasing point and a handrail on top of the upper carriage.
