McCloskey has introduced a mid-range trammel that combines a reduction in transport size with an upsized feed and conveyor components for increased throughput. The wheeled 516 REP model (equipped with Radial stacker, end conveyor and pintle hitch) offers high production rates with simple pintle-hitch towing. The unit is designed to be pulled easily behind any heavy-duty truck or loading equipment normally found in construction and aggregate fleets. The unit uses new fabrication techniques developed by McCloskey last year for the manufacture of its compact 412 R, resulting in compact construction that reduces its overall transport length by a third. The new trammel features a 6-yard feed hopper, 50 percent larger than previous models and wider conveyor belts to match. The feed belt and stacker belts have both been upsized from 30 inches to a 36-inch width, while the new oversize belt weighs in at 42 inches. The 516 retains the same 5-foot-by-16-foot drum screen used by its predecessors.
