Fit to travel with 30 percent less length than previous models, the newest 5-foot-by-12-foot trammel from McCloskey International has been developed to meet customer requirements for the most demanding road restrictions. The version of the 512 model trammel has been revamped from the wheeled 512 model, with only the drum remaining from the original construction. It does incorporate previous McCloskey features, such as the Drum X-Change System and the 180 degree radial stacker. The feed conveyor and radial conveyor have both been upsized to 36-inch belts from 30 inches. The crawler undercarriage is designed to hydraulically raise and lower itself through 36 inches of elevation, allowing operators to raise the entire machine to increase the trommel’s angle of departure. This allows for easier loading onto trailers, as well as increased ability in difficult terrain.
