Gehl Co. has added a zero-tail swing excavator to its product line. The 383Z’s zero-tail swing design allows the machine’s superstructure to rotate entirely within the tracks, allowing the excavator to operate close to walls and obstructions without risk of contact. It weighs 7,826 pounds with a canopy and 8,002 pounds with a cab and is powered by a 29-hp Yanmar diesel engine. Cabs come standard with air conditioning, heater/defroster/interior light, windshield wiper, windshield water system and ability to open the cab windows for natural ventilation.
