Cleveland firm Garick adds Tyson M. Shelly to staff.

Garick, a Cleveland-based nationwide distributor and processor of mulch, soil amendments and other sustainable natural resource products, has appointed Tyson M. Shelley as its customer service director.

Shelley will focus on directing and building Garick’s customer interaction team nationwide, allowing the company “to tailor service levels to meet and exceed customers’ expectations from an execution and partnership standpoint,” according to a Garick news release.

Shelley has been employed with Best Buy Co. Inc since 1997, with his most recent position there being Store Services Manager. Prior positions at Best Buy include General Manager, Regional Human Resources Manager, and District Human Resources Manager.

“We are excited to have Tyson on board,” says Scott Zinda, Garick’s director of business development. “His enthusiasm and insights into the world of customer service and expectations will help Garick grow into one of the leaders in our industry.”

Garick, headquartered in Cleveland, serves the landscape, recreation, lawn, garden and construction industries. It uses organic and green materials streams from the lawn and garden, food, agriculture, and forest by-products industries to produce organic mulches and soils.

Garick’s composting facilities and partnerships are located throughout North America and produce nationally branded products such as Nature's Helper organic soil amendment, Black Satin Mulch, Designated Dryer sports turf conditioner, Hydrocks soil enhancer, Kids Karpet recreational surfacing, and Moo-Nure organic compost. The company sells its product line nationally in bags, bales or in bulk.
