Beginning Nov. 5, Women of Asphalt (WofA), Orange Park, Florida, will be highlighting 100 women from within the asphalt industry over 100 days as the organization counts down to the World of Asphalt 2019 Conference and Show.
WofA will host a mixer, a keynote speaker and a roundtable forum at World of Asphalt 2019, which runs Feb. 12-14 in Indianapolis.
Each woman selected for the I am a Woman of Asphalt: 100 Days Until World of Asphalt 2019 was nominated by her peers as a woman who makes a difference in the asphalt industry. One woman will be featured each day on the WofA website at www.womenofasphalt.org and on Facebook (Women of Asphalt).
The women range from those out in the field paving the roads to those in the corporate headquarters running the company.
WofA is a national grassroots coalition started by women in the asphalt industry with the purpose of supporting career growth and development for women in all aspects of the industry. WofA encourages women to seek careers in the asphalt industry and provides mentoring, networking, education, and advocacy opportunities.
The Asphalt Pavement Alliance, Orange Park, Florida, provides technical and operational support to WofA.
