The Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Planning Commission has denied a request by a company called No Mercy Excavating to obtain a conditional use permit to use space it has in the city to store construction and demolition material for processing purposes. In addition to concrete, asphalt, brick and road material, the facility also was taking in rebar and other C&D generated metals.
The decision was made at a public hearing Oct. 13.
While the land is located in an area zoned for industry, it abuts a residential area. Residents who lived near the proposed facility attended the public hearing and came out strongly against the project.@
