The government of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, is budgeting more than $400,000 to partner with the county’s Redevelopment Authority to take down structures on 12 properties in eight different cities, boroughs and townships there.
According to minutes of the county’s board of commissioners late January meeting, the Westmoreland County Demolition Fund will pay for the projects “in an aggregate amount not to exceed $414,500, plus a 15 percent project delivery fee of the awarded cost” for each of the 12 projects.
The targeted properties are in Arnold, Jeannette, New Kensington, Ligonier Township, Mount Pleasant borough, Rostraver Township, Unity Township and Vandergrift borough in the southwestern Pennsylvania county.
