Western Emulsions acquires Oregon asphalt emulsion plant

Company says it is now able to offer its products throughout parts of California for roadway construction, preservation and recycling programs.

Western Emulsions Inc. has acquired an existing asphalt emulsion manufacturing facility in White City, Oregon, from VSS Emultech, an emulsion company based in West Sacramento, California.

With the acquisition, Western Emulsions says it is able to offer its emulsion products to public agency customers throughout the Pacific Northwest and northern California for roadway construction, preservation and recycling programs.

“The purchase of the White City facility provides Western Emulsions with a complementary base from which to serve many current customers, and the ability to provide customers in the Pacific Northwest with popular branded emulsion products that weren’t previously available in their area,” says Kevin Trant, Western Emulsions’ president and CEO.

Western Emulsions operates manufacturing and asphalt terminal facilities in Irwindale, California; Coolidge and Tucson, Arizona; Roswell, New Mexico; Temple, Texas; and Billings, Montana. The company also has business offices in Dana Point, California; Tucson; and Lubbock, Texas.

The company provides branded and standard asphalt emulsions and raw asphalt used for pavement preservation, repair and restoration projects. Western Emulsions says it assists public agencies and owners of infrastructure in developing solutions to maintaining and recycling their asphalt pavements.
