Werk-Brau Co. Inc., a Findlay, Ohio-based manufacturer of buckets and attachments for excavators and loaders, recently hosted Congressman Bob Latta to meet with company officials and to talk about challenges and opportunities the company is facing.
After touring the 500,000-square-foot manufacturing campus, Latta presented Werk-Brau President Jon Ballinger with a Congressional Proclamation congratulating the company on its 75th anniversary.
“Manufacturing is the backbone of this country, so it is an honor to celebrate this momentous occasion of longevity, ingenuity and perseverance. It is refreshing to see the company thriving, and the fourth generation working within this family business,” Latta said at the visit.
“We’re delighted to host Congressman Latta. We’re humbled and honored that he was able to spend some time with us,” Ballinger said.
Werk-Brau was founded by Duke Werkheiser and Dutch Brautigam in 1947. The company has grown from a single blacksmith shop to numerous North American locations with significant manufacturing space and over 500 employees. According to the company, Werk-Brau maintains dealer direct partnerships with over 2,000 North American heavy equipment dealers from their Findlay, Ohio, headquarters.
The company manufactures a complete line of OEM and replacement attachments for excavators, mini excavators, backhoes, mini and full-size loaders and crawler loaders.
