The environmental waste management company WasteStrategies LLC, Annapolis, Md., has hired Gregory Ross as president of its northeast operations. Ross formerly was an executive with Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) and Allied Waste.
In his position, Ross will be charged with building long-term client relationships through services that reduce operating expenses, mitigate risk and achieve specific environmental targets.
According to a WasteStrategies release, Ross has managed industry and recycling programs for Fortune 400 companies and introduced the integrated waste model that allowed Republic Services to become the sole-source provider for all waste and recycling streams including electronic waste, universal waste, medical waste, hazardous wastes and recycling of all commodities.
