Volvo Rents, Asheville, N.C., has opened a Central Region facility and appointed a management staff to run the office. Volvo Rents provides construction equipment for small-to-medium-sized companies. The Central Region office will be located in The Woodlands, Texas.
Bruce Slaughter, a 27-year veteran of the rental industry will serve as vice president of the office and oversee the central United States. He joined Volvo Rents in 2006 as a district manager.
“This is a pivotal time in the market, with great opportunities for Volvo Rents’ further growth,” Slaughter says. “The new management team adds further depth and breadth of experience as we intensify our push to capitalize on the economic upturn and expand upon our already strong network of company- and franchise-owned stores.”
Other members of the Central Region staff include Becky Medina, regional executive administrator; Jason Bullock, division manager for Louisiana, Central Arkansas and Mississippi; Kelly Ryan, division manager for Texas; David Evans, division manager for Missouri, Oklahoma and Northern Arkansas; Troy Dodd, region service manager; Rich Gomes, region controller; and Kathy Schultz, region accounting manager.
