, Asheville, N.C., has named Michael Crouch vice president, Business Development. It is a new position with Volvo Rents.
Crouch has more than 34 years of experience in the construction equipment rental industry, including 10 years in senior management positions at Volvo Rents in North America and Europe.
In his new position, Crouch will seek out acquisition opportunities within the rental industry.
In a release, Volvo Rents says that it is embarking on a course to not only operate a franchise network of rental stores, but will also manage and grow a network of company-owned stores.
In April, 2011, the Volvo Group established Volvo Rents as a stand-alone subsidiary of AB Volvo in order to increase its capabilities in growing and securing a sizeable business.
“Mike Crouch has done an excellent job leading our operations team for the past several years. I am pleased that he will be leading this important initiative for Volvo Rents”, says Scott Hall, president and CEO.
