Versa Corp. LLC says its Versa Bucket is a specialized attachment for skid steer loaders engineered for controlled gripping and streamlined material handling.
The Versa Bucket comes in sizes to fit skid-steer loaders, tractor loaders and wheel loaders, and the device features a heavy-duty steel jaw and gripping teeth designed to allow the operator to scrape and squeeze materials firmly and cleanly.
“This controlled clamping motion keeps loose debris contained, ensuring cleaner, more efficient handling,” the Astoria, Oregon-based equipment provider says, adding that its versatile bucket can support numerous recycling tasks by enabling efficient source separation, clean transport and small-scale preprocessing of materials.
Operators on tipping floors and other material reception areas can use the bucket’s edge to sweep and push material and to blend or homogenize mixed loads so later separation equipment receives a more consistent feed, according to Versa.
When loader buckets are used to feed hoppers for conveyors, shredders, balers, trommel screens and other equipment, the Versa Bucket allows for faster presorting and removal of oversized or nonconforming items and bulky contaminants.
In construction and demolition recycling applications, the buckets can help separate heavy inert materials like concrete or large timbers from lighter debris before further processing, Versa says.
Replaceable, smooth cutting edges on the buckets act as large scrapers to gather stray material on the tipping floor, push it into rows, and grab it for reprocessing or disposal.
When unloading material, the clam shell design of the Versa Bucket can prove efficient by not having to tip the bucket down to discharge the material, allowing for a higher discharge height, according to Versa.
“This allows the operator to visibly see when the bucket is empty, saving time and equipment wear by not having to shake and or tip the bucket down,” the company says.
