Chittenden County, Vt., has awarded a $10,000 grant to a consultant to perform research to encourage the development of a mixed construction and demolition material recycling facility by a private company.
CMRA member Green Seal Environmental (GSE), Sandwich, Mass., has been awarded the grant to help the count design a lasting C&D recycling infrastructure and reduce the dependency of contractors on area landfills.
Green Seal’s tasks include:
- Perform end market research;
- Prepare a preliminary site layout;
- Perform preliminary processing line and mobile equipment research; and
- Prepare a draft business plan based on the perceived markets and proposed facility design.
