The acquisition consolidates Vecoplan’s wood and biomass activities under a single banner, and allows Vecoplan Ltd. to roll out a spares and service activity across all market sectors in the U.K. through a team of trained and experienced engineers. The acquisition is part of a program of growth and development and allows Vecoplan to carry a substantial stock of tools, spares and wear parts in the UK, and to offer service and maintenance contracts to its growing client base.
The addition of Almac’s substantial resources has cemented Vecoplan’s position as the preferred choice for shredding and chipping equipment, conveyors, screens, separation equipment and materials handling systems and equipment.
"It is most important to us that our clients have continuity of production and we endeavor to maintain the integrity of their Vecoplan equipment at all times. The acquisition of Almac will allow us to deliver these very high levels of service to an ever increasing number of clients," said Jerry Quickenden, Vecoplan’s managing director.
High Point, N.C.-based Vecoplan LLC is the U.S.-based subsidiary of Vecoplan AG.
