USA Gypsum reported that it has recycled more than 165 tons of drywall from the construction of the new Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pa.
The company also noted that it provided the labor to remove the drywall, eliminating the need for additional dumpsters on site.
The Convention Center is expected to open in April, 2009.
The drywall collected over the duration of the construction project has been used for a host of local applications, including improving area soils.
USA Gypsum has developed multiple services including scrap removal and pickup services, roll off containers, and drop off points. The company services businesses throughout the Northeast.
