U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) Assistant Secretary Al Frink will speak ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005, according to event’s organizers.
Frink will speak at the meeting of the U.S. government’s Industry Trade Advisory Committee (ITAC) on Automotive Equipment and Capital Goods, which will be March 16, at 9 a.m.
The meeting is open to all show attendees and is free of charge.
Congress established ITACS too provide private sector input on international trade issues. Event co-owner and co-producer the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is a member of the ITAC working group.
“We are excited to showcase our industry to Assistant Secretary Frink,” says Dennis Slater, AEM president. “The visit will give him a first-hand look at the economic size and strength of our sector and an opportunity to understand the challenges that equipment manufacturers face in the global market.”
Frink will provide meeting attendees with updates on the administration’s manufacturing initiative, as well as updates on Iraqi reconstruction opportunities and trade with Brazil and China.
More information on the ITAC meeting is available by contacting AEM’s Washington office: Nick Yaksich at (202) 898-9065, or e-mailing nyaksich@aem.org.
