U.S. Construction Spending Up in August

U.S. construction spending increased 0.3 percent in August, according to monthly figures released by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Private nonresidential construction saw the biggest gain, climbing 3.4 percent. Residential construction, however, fell 1.5 percent.
