Tramac Adds to Plant Capacity

Hydraulic hammer maker Tramac by Montabert, Suwanee, Ga., has increased and upgraded its production capacity with a new manufacturing facility in Lake City, Ga.
 
The “Hammer Centre of Excellence,” as Tramac by Montabert calls its new 27,000-square-foot building, is situated on 13.8 acres. According to the company, the facility will create room for more available inventory to be on hand.

Outfitted with a dedicated hammers assembly location, the upgraded operation will allow the company to completely assemble hammers and prepare them for customers. As well, a remanufacturing center will be complete by the end of 2012, according to Tramac by Montabert.

The company’s hydraulic rock breaker and plate compactor inventory will be transferred to the Lake City operation “with little or no interruption in availability,” according to a Tramac by Montabert news release. “This progressive movement provides Tramac by Montabert the ability to make a big footprint in the North American Market,” the news release also states.

Tramac by Montabert excavator attachment products are designed for heavy-duty use in construction, demolition, mining and quarrying applications.
