Titan Trailers Introduces New Line of Live-Floor Trailers

Company has introduced V-18 aluminum V-Floor self-unloading system from Keith Mfg. Co.

Titan Trailers Inc., based in Delhi, Ontario, has announced it has expanded its line of V-Floor trailers and added a new seires of live floor trailers for demanding applications.

The company has introduced the new V-18 aluminum V-Floor unloading system from Madras, Ore.-based Keith Manufacturing Co., which provides a lighter-weight version of the steel V-Floor developed by Keith in 2003, according to a Titan Trailers press release.

The V-18 floor is designed for use in extreme applications, such as demolition and abrasive materials that are too demanding for standard self-unloaders, the company adds. The V-18 is constructed with 18 aluminum slats and is based on the same sub-deck used by the original V-Floor, which provides resistance to leaks and heat without floor seals that would be damaged by excessive wear, according to the release.

Recommended applications for the V-18 include municipal solid waste, recycled materials, wood chips and construction debris. According to Titan, many of these applications were previously handled by steel-body dump trailers that reach their practical payload limit around 50 cubic yards and often have problems with off-balance loads or uneven work sites. A 48-foot Titan trailer offers up to 130 cubic yards of payload capacity, while the self-unloading system maintains a sure footing for the trailer while it walks off the load, the company says.
