West Salem Machinery, Salem, Ore., (WSM) has introduced a new vertical feed grinder for processing construction and demolition debris.
The Model 5472 features a 54-inch diameter by 72-inch-wide machined rotor for processing mixed C&D material into a sized product.
The grinder can be used with either diesel or electric drives from 600 to 1,200 horsepower.
Features include a heavy-duty infeed chute with ballistics protection, full interior wear liners and a 12-inch diameter shaft.
Spherical roller bearings mounted in cast steel pillow block housings are designed to improve shock loading. The Model 5472 also features modular screen grates and heavy-duty hammers (swing or rigid) with reversible hammer tips.
WSM manufactures grinding machinery for the recycling industry, including portable and stationary grinders in vertical and horizontal feed designs.
