Thalle Industries invested in new technology at its asphalt plant in preparation for the 2024 paving season.

The company installed a new Astec Heatec additive tank and a new Meeker reverse air baghouse over the winter at its Fishkill, New York, hot-mix asphalt plant, which reopened for the paving season March 25.

Thalle Industries supplies virgin and recycled aggregate, asphalt products, concrete and brownfield fill for the construction industry.

The baghouse helps Thalle Industries reach the highest levels of environmental responsibility, according to the company.

“Air quality is one of our top priorities, and the new baghouse ensures that we meet all our obligations,” Thalle Industries President and CEO Glenn Pacchiana says.

As the pothole-filling season ramps up, Thalle Industries expects to ship up to 350 tons of asphalt per hour from its Fishkill plant. The facility produces various types of asphalt, from porous to warm mixes to custom blends.

In the previous winter, Thalle Industries upgraded its asphalt plant with new burner and silo technologies. During the height of the paving season, the plant can load pavement trailers and trucks within three minutes.
