The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has denied a request by Apache Disposal to build and operate a construction and demolition debris transfer station in Marion, Tex., near San Antonio. The decision to deny the application came late last month.
The company had originally applied for the application for the operation of a Type V C&D transfer station in September of last year. However, after the second review of the application, a spokesman said that there were more than 40 deficiencies that the company did not address.
In a statement, the TCEQ noted that after working closely with the applicant for several months, the agency made the decision to return the application based on numerous deficiencies with the application.
The decision to return the application does not prohibit the applicant from reapplying for authorization at a later date.
