A Manistee, Mich., energy plant may burn more wood products following what company officials called a successful test burn of construction debris imported from Chicago, according to a report in the Traverse City Record-Eagle (Traverse City, Mich.)
According to the report, the TES Filer City Station located on Manistee Lake burned approximately 30 tons of construction and demolition wood on Feb. 16.
One load was source-selected from demolition projects and wood pallets, while the other was a blend of green wood from tree trimmings and stumps.
