Terex Names New Distributor

Terex has added Fiber Marketing International, Inc. as a new full line Terex compact equipment dealer in the Pacific Northwest.

“We are excited to add FMI Sales to our expanding distribution network of Terex compact equipment distributors in North America,” said Del Carver, area director, North America Compact Equipment. “The addition will allow us to better meet the needs of our customers in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.” 

The product line includes compact track loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders, site dumpers, tractor loader backhoes, light towers, telehandlers, power buggies, compaction rollers and a tracked utility vehicle. 

Fiber Marketing International Inc., operating under the name FMI Sales, has more than $1 million in inventory of various pieces of compact equipment.

“This is an extremely difficult time for everyone,” said David Kopp, FMI’s sales manager. “But if there is one thing that keeps us going, it’s the fact that eventually we will prosper again.  Our economy is cyclical –- it  always has been and always will be -- and it is our goal to be there when everything turns around.”

Despite the tough economic times and the challenge of taking on a new product line, Kopp said the decision to become a full line Terex compact equipment distributor was an easy one to make.

“It gives us a much wider line of products to sell and that’s what we have been looking for.  We also anticipate consumers receiving the change favorably,” said Kopp.
