Terex Environmental Equipment introduces two new products

Company says the new machines will expand its mobile shredding and screening range.

screen plant mobile grindingTerex Environmental Equipment (TEE), headquartered in Farwell, Michigan, has plans to introduce two new products in early 2015: the TDS 820 slow-speed shredder and the TTS 620 trommel screen. TEE says the two products will complement its expanding mobile shredding and screening range.

Tony Devlin, TEE’s global business line director, says, “We are excited to add these two new machines to our product portfolio. We have listened to our customers and both products are full of new features. The TDS 820 is versatile slow-speed shredder with six programs to suit the customer application. The TTS 620 trommel screen will continue to push the boundaries in the mobile trommel screening industry.”

Devlin continues, “The launch of the new machines follows a stringent development cycle, having been tested and proven in a diverse range of product applications. We have every confidence that these machines will be a success.”

Devlin adds that the TDS 820 is capable of shredding all types of material using the same shredding tool. The slow-speed shredder has three standard programs that are preinstalled and three additional programs that can be configured by the customer to suit his or her particular application, according to the company.

TEE says key features of the TDS 820 include the hydrostatic drive, which allows better protection against contamination. The double shaft shredder has two 2,00-millimeter-long counter rotating shafts, which allow more aggressive intake andhigh throughput with the desired particle size, the company says. Throughput of up to 60 tons per year is achievable, depending on the application and shredder configuration, TEE says of the shredder. The independent gearboxes enable each shaft to be run independently to reduce wrappage and improve the shredding of material.

Additional features include the tipper hopper, which increases the feed area, as well as hopper extensions that provide increased capacity in bulky applications, TEE notes. The TDS 820 also is offered as a tracked and wheeled unit.

TTE’s TTS 620 trommel screen offers operators application flexibility, production rates and serviceability. The company says its TTS 620 has an efficient engine and hydraulic drive system, combined with an advanced material processing control system to offer maximum production combined with minimum costs. It is ideally suited for screening compost, biomass, soil, gravel and scrap, TTE says.

An intuitive push button control panel allows the operator to configure the machine to suit the required application, while the intelligent feeder control system continually adjusts the feeder speed to optimize screening rates.

TTE says special consideration has been given to minimize change-out time for the screening drum. The TTS 620 has been designed to accept a number of other manufactures screening drums, allowing customers to integrate the equipment into established fleets.

All conveyors are built to a modular design, allowing each to be removed independently for ease of maintenance, TTE says. The swing-out engine cradle gives operators unrestricted ground level access to all service components.
Both Tier III and Tier IV options are available with the Tier III engine being a constant speed configuration making it suitable for use within Europe, TTE points out.

The machine will be available in wheeled, pintle drawbar or tracked configurations.
