Telsmith Introduces Products

Company announces new line of vibrating screens and a cone crusher.

Telsmith Inc., an Astec company based in Mequon, Wis., has introduced its new line of inclined vibrating screens, the Vibro-King TL series.

Replacing the existing Vibro-King and Specmaker screen lines, the new Vibro-King TL screen boasts longer service life, reduced maintenance and lower operating costs than its predecessors, according to the manufacturer.

The TL shaft assembly has a “never-wear” seal design that is meant to eliminate contact seals, reducing maintenance and providing longer service life. All TL shaft assemblies use wide-series bearings and polished shaft bearing journals. Minimal maintenance is ensured via its large-diameter shaft casing that boosts oil volume to allow lower operating temperatures and fewer oil changes.

Multiple flat and crowned deck designs are available, allowing the Vibro-King TL to work with all screen media types. Also, deck spacing between the top and middle decks has been increased to simplifying screen media changes.

Available in both single and dual-shaft models and in sizes ranging from 5-feet by 14-feet up to 8-feet by 24-feeet, the Vibro-King TL line is available in both standard and heady duty models, with all HD models featuring ½-inch thick side plates.

Spring mounts incorporate a “jacking bracket” providing safe, speedy access for spring maintenance.

Telsmith has also introduced the Model SBX Cone Crusher. It represents an evolution in design from the SBS cone crushers and is engineered with new internal components and crushing chamber profiles that allow it to accept larger feed. The SBX is designed for secondary crushing circuits that once required larger crushers.

Its features include a Dynamic Adjust system that enables remote adjustment under load; a maintenance-free hydraulic anti-spin system that extends manganese life; a large stroke chamber clearing system that delivers safe and quick recovery from a shutdown and heavy duty components for reliable, low cost crushing.

The SBX Cone Crusher Series is available in three models—the 44SBX (300 hp), 52SBX (400 hp) and the 57SBX (500 hp).

Telsmith will debut both produce lines at ConExpo-Con/Agg, which will be held March 11-15, 2008, in Las Vegas.
