A litter of kittens was rescued from a garbage bag by Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority workers April 8, 2016, a report from WPTV says. The kittens were four-to-five-weeks old.
The SWA called Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue, Palm Beach, Florida, who took care of the four orphaned kitties, the report says.
The employees who found the kittens, along with the animal rescue staff, believe the kittens have had human contact because they are friendly and social, according to the report. The animals were hungry when they arrived and had parasites, so veterinarians have been attending to them.
JBAR told WPTV the kittens should make a full recovery and be available for adoption in about a month.
