Superior Awarded Patent

Company gets patent on Chevron wing pulley.

Superior Industries, Morris, Minn., has announced that the company’s new wing pulley was awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The patented pulley design is sold under Superior Industries’ Federally Registered Trademark Chevron wing pulley.

The v-shape design helps to shed and deflect material, resulting in reduced wing bending and extended belt life. Additionally, the design aids belt tracking and maintains a sound level that measures 50 decibels quieter than standard wing pulleys, according to Superior.

Superior’s Chevron wing pulley is sold in both CEMA and super duty specifications.

Headquartered in Morris, Minn., Superior Industries designs and fabricates a full line of conveying equipment, telescoping conveyors, feed systems, conveyor idlers, pulleys as well as other conveyor components.
