The $66 million biomedical research building currently under construction at St. Louis University will include a number of green building features, according to a report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
As part of the green building process, a number of materials are being recycled as the building is constructed, including cardboard, wood and plastic conduit, according to the report.
Other green building features will include a vegetative roof that will cover a two-story section of the building to reduce storm runoff, many windows to increase natural light and a close proximity to public transportation.
