The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) will host the 15th annual gathering of the Joint Technical Liaison Meeting (JTLM) in Phoenix and will be an active participant in the eighth meeting of the International Crane Technical Liaison Committee at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005.
Planned topics of discussion among the worldwide equipment manufacturer trade groups at the meetings will focus on reducing technical barriers to trade between North America, European Union countries, Japan and the Pacific Rim, according to the event’s organizers.
The meetings will address standards, regulations and certification issues affecting the production, sale and usage of machinery worldwide. Topics include diesel engine emissions, safety and environmental issues and the European Union Machinery Directive and Noise Directive.
ConExpo-Con/Agg will be March 15-19, 2005, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The crane meeting is scheduled for March 18 at the convention center, room N 231.
