Silverdell Ltd., a UK-based specialty removal contractors was acquired by Bow Lane Capital plc, an investment company established to acquire businesses in the environment and asbestos services sector. The acquisition is expected to cost around £22.2 million (US$40.5 million).
On completion of the transaction, Bow Lane Capital plc will change its name to Silverdell plc.
Danny Spicer, who has worked for Silverdell asbestos removers for over 26 years and is the son of the company’s founder, will become CEO; Sean Nutley, who has been with Silverdell since 1992, will become COO; and David Williams, currently chairman of Bow Lane, will chair the company.
