Texas Shingle Recycling Programs: A Technical Webinar will be held Jan. 13 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST. The webinar, produced by ShingleRecycling.org and the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA), will provide attendees with knowledge of the current status of shingle recycling in Texas.
Topics to be discussed during the Webinar will include a summary of asphalt shingle recycling throughout Texas, details about current engineering specifications, a summary of environmental requirements and case study examples and programs from an independent shingle recycling operator and an HMA (hot mix asphalt) producer.
The Webinar is the second in a series of technical CMRA webinars. They are designed to help emphasize the upfront supply and processing quality control issues of shingles recycling.
Dan Krivit of Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC will moderate the webinar, which will include the following speakers:
• Robert E. Lee, bituminous engineer, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). He will address the TxDot specifications for RAS (recycled asphalt shingles) in hot mix.

• Michael Gould, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). He will address TCEQ environmental and safety requirements.

• Grant Wollenhaupt of R2R Recycling. He will address the supply quality and processing issues from the perspective of an independent shingle recycler. Grant will summarize the controls needed to supply a high-quality finished product to markets.

• A Texas HMA Producer-to be announced
