The Straubing, Germany-based Sennebogen Group has announced plans to build a new assembly plant for industrial machines in Straubing-Sand industrial park.
The new establishment will start with a surface area of more than 100,000 square meters, with an option for further expansion in the industrial park.
The first construction phase will include a 13,000-square-meter assembly hall. Office buildings and social areas will complete the new construction, and the facility will also include ample open-air space for the assembly and testing of machines.
The growing global demand for large material loading and lifting machinery as well as strong sales in recent years are contributing factors to the decision to build the new assembly plant.
Since its inception in 1952, Sennebogen has seen continuous development from a manufacturer of agricultural machinery to a global player in material loaders and specialty equipment. Sennebogen has produced approximately 30,000 machines to date for use around the world, according to a news release from the company.
The site in Hebbelstrabe, Straubing, will continue to be the firm’s headquarters and will also cover various production areas.
The building work on the new factory premises is scheduled to begin in the spring, with production scheduled to start in early 2008.
