Etna, Ohio-based Screen Machine displayed part of its product line of concrete, asphalt, rock, wood and soil crushing and screening machines at the 2020 ConExpo-Con/Agg event in Las Vegas in March.
Among the company’s equipment of interest to recyclers is the 621ST trommel screen plant and the 520TS3 Spyder screen plant.
The 520TS3 Spyder features triple-deck screening designed to generate up to four different sized products. The Spyder’s patented Smooth Start Technology can help prolong the life of the screens and their components by eliminating violent shaking during warmup and shutdown, according to Screen Machine.
The Spyder also has what Screen Machine calls a heavy-duty nine-cubic-yard capacity hopper and a remote control tipping grizzly screen designed to help pre-sort oversize material before the other screening steps.
The 621ST trommel features a six-foot by 21-foot barrel and includes a hammermill shredder that can be used when material needs to be downsized.
The trommel drum is made with “heavy-duty steel,” according to the company, and is equipped with large triangular tumbling paddles. Screen Machine says the 621ST also has four self-cleaning brushes designed to help the screens maintain efficient performance.
