Scientific Dust Collectors (SDC), Alsip, Ill., has been issued two patents that the company says will improve upon its existing supersonic nozzle-based cleaning technology systems for reverse pulse jet dust collectors.
SDC has used nozzle-based cleaning systems on reverse pulse jet collectors in the manufacturing industry for 30 years. The key to the performance of the cleaning system is the scientific design of the cleaning nozzle, says SDC.
The nozzle designs also allow for SDC’s collectors to operate at lower compressed air rates, saving compressed air usage. In addition, the new nozzle technology can be retrofitted to most generic baghouse collectors.
