Sweden-based Sandvik Construction, a manufacturer of mobile crushers, screens and other equipment for the construction industry, has launched a circular stroke inclined screen as part of the company’s new SK&SC range. The SK2462 will enable aggregate producers, quarries and other associated businesses to screen material during the secondary or tertiary stage of the process, the company explains. With the capability to effectively operate in both wet and dry operating conditions, the SK2462 screen can handle most applications, providing customers with leading levels of versatility, performance and flexibility, says Sandvik Construction.
The company says its new range of SK&SC screens have been developed with real requirements of aggregates producers, quarries and other associated industries at the heart of the design process. The SK2462 is available in sizes ranging from 1.5-meters to 3-meters-wide, 4 meters to 8 meters in length, and in two-, three- or four-deck versions. Additionally, Sandvik Construction says the screens possess a modular design, enabling ease of installation and maintenance.
Ideal for mobile and fixed installations, the SK&SC screens’ modular design makes them easy to fit to an existing plant. Improvements include advances in versatility through a wide range of options, including wear protection, washing and dust encapsulation. These developments allow the screen to be suitable for most screening medias, making it suitable for most applications, the company notes. Sandvik Construction says the screen’s flexibility is further enhanced through an adjustable inclination angle and a wide range of stroke parameters.
The vibration mechanism of the SK&SC screens can be removed and installed as a fully assembled module, which makes the screens easier to maintain, and maximizes the life of the components, according to the company. In addition, the use of a proven welded design, with a reduced number of parts and improved bearing lubrication, enables the screen to be maintained with minimal customer engineering, the company points out.
