The City of San Diego Environmental Services Department is seeking proposals to design, construct, and operate an open-air Material Recovery Facility, located at the Miramar Landfill to process mixed construction, demolition, and inert debris and other recyclable materials.
The goal of the ESD is to develop a MRF to process and divert up to 1,500 tons per day of mixed CDI material from disposal at the Miramar Landfill, while creating the highest quality end–product possible; to enhance the marketability of diverted material; to ensure the long-term viability of the MRF operation; and to extend Miramar Landfill’s life.
