The company is working on a government project preparing and maintaining local forest roads, which have to be fortified with crushed virgin stone. In the past, the company had to purchase the material from a quarry located 60 km from the job site and had been spending 120,000 euros per year buying virgin limestone from the quarry and transporting it to the job site.
The company has used the R900 to crush material for roadbase on site. The mobile, tracked impact crusher is designed to process asphalt, concrete and demolition rubble and natural stone. It has a four-hammer heavy-duty rotor and measures 31 feet, 6 inches by 7 feet, 10 inches by 10 feet, 6 inches. It weighs in at 24.5 tons.
