Remoquip, Ballinasloe, Ireland, has designed its remote control interface module to enable the remote operations of all types of hydraulic equipment. The module, a recent award-winner at the 2016 World Demolition Summit in Miami, is fitted to equipment, such as excavators, loaders and bulldozers, and transformed into remote operating units.
A harness and fitting kit is specifically designed for a particular make and model of equipment. It’s able to connect to its host machine’s hydraulic system without changing its settings or parameters. Switching the Remoquip module on and off switches the machine to and from remote operating capabilities.
Uses of the Remoquip module include:
- landmine removal
- excavation of ordnance
- working in areas of smoke, fumes, radiation and so on
- natural disasters
- earthquake situations
- landslides
- emergency services
- removal of hazardous goods
- removal of explosive material
- chemical spills
- excavation
- rock breaking
- mining
- construction work
- enabling disabled persons to operate equipment
