REC Demolition Wins Bid for Weyerhaeuser Mill

Canadian-based company also looking to auction off equipment.

 

Restoration Environmental Contractors and REC Demolition have been awarded the demolition of the 300,000 square foot plant, environmental abatement and equipment asset disposal project at the Weyerhaeuser Pulp and Paper Mill in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. The estimated project value is $1-$2 million.

 

REC will auction, from the Weyerhaeuser Pulp and Paper Plant, a "medium corrugated paper machine" with a daily output of 300 tons per day.

 

In addition, REC also announced that it has been awarded the $5 million demolition and abatement project of the Victoria Museum and the Canadian Museum of Nature with Public Works and Government Services Canada and PCL Constructors Canada Inc. of Ottawa.
