Purple Wave Auction Adds to Staff

Online auction firm adds two to its business development department.

Purple Wave Auction, Manhattan, Kan., has announced that it has added two individuals to its business development department. The online auction company has added Jeff Wilson to handle transportation, construction and agricultural accounts and Wayne Graffis to handle the company’s business development.

 

“Due to our continued success with our no reserve, online auction model, we are pleased to be able to bring quality people onto the team,” says Purple Wave CEO Jerrod Westfahl. “Graffis and Wilson bring exceptional professional experience to the table that is consistent with Purple Wave’s commitment to its growing customer base.”

 

Graffis has more than 25 years of experience in agricultural finance, and owned and managed Capital Resources Funding Group, Inc. providing services to commercial banks in 10 states.  Graffis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Colorado State University in vocational agricultural education.

Jeff Wilson

 

Wilson is a Native of Abilene, Kan., and received his finance degree from Kansas State University.  Prior to working with Purple Wave, Wilson was employed by GE Capital specializing in banking, agriculture and capital equipment finance. 

 

In spring 2009, Purple Wave began concentrating on vehicles and heavy equipment online auctions. Compared to the last year, Purple Wave’s 2009 sales volume in the agricultural, construction and heavy equipment asset categories has more than doubled that of the prior year, according to the company.
